How to Prepare for Your Interior Design Consultation

A little prep makes your consultation far more productive. Here's exactly what to bring and think about beforehand.

Gather your inspiration

Save the rooms, colors, and pieces you're drawn to — a Pinterest board, a folder of screenshots, even torn magazine pages. Just as useful: examples of what you dislike. Both tell a designer a great deal, fast.

Know your priorities and budget range

Think about which rooms matter most and roughly what you're comfortable investing. You don't need exact figures, but a realistic range lets us tell you honestly what's achievable and where to focus for the biggest impact.

Note how you actually live

How do you use each space? Where does clutter collect? What frustrates you daily? Great design solves real problems, so the practical details are as valuable as the aesthetic ones.

Come with questions

Ask about process, timeline, and how you'll see the design (we use 3D renderings so you approve before anything is built). It's a conversation, not a commitment — see our full process, or book yours.
